Frequently Asked Questions
-
The acuscope used microcurrent, less than a milliamp of electricity, so your horse will only feel a slight current almost like water running between the plates or probes. Most horses tend to relax into the treatment and offer yawns and releases.
-
Various products and medications are detected by the instruments. It’s important to refrain from applying topicals and sprays prior to the appointment unless they are previously approved.
Make sure your horse is clean and dry. Moisture and debris will effect the treatment.
For mobile services, provide a protected area where your horse will be relaxed and comfortable.
-
Your horse should stay dry for at least 6 hours post-treatment. No other treatments should be applied within 72 hours (laser, pemf, ceramics, ect). Allow your horse’s body to get the full benefit from the microcurrent treatment as cells and tissues are responding and reacting.
-
Treatments provide just enough electricity as the cell can use. If compared to jump starting a battery, the damaged tissue requires a couple jump starts before it is healthy enough to hold the charge and produce healing capabilities on its own. Once the readouts confirm the cells and tissue are within a healthy range, the treatments can be spread out over days, weeks or months depending on the horse.
