Diagnosed with Navicular at 10yrs Old- My personal horse
My mare, Paris, now 24 is THE reason I crossed paths with Joyce and Tracie with Animal Therapy Systems at a Dynamite Products conference. She was having on and off lameness in her RF for a while. Navicular Syndrome was floating around in her diagnosis while in her prime, only 10yrs old. After piecing her together as much I could, considering joint injections while knowing they were only a temporary option - I had to find something else. Through a close friend involved with Dynamite, I went down the nutrition path and made small changes which, ended up being significant changes in Paris’ overall appearance and comfort that I knew I was on the right track! The Acuscope was mentioned at the Dynamite conference and down the next rabbit hole I went. Soon after returning from the conference, I booked my trip to Oklahoma to train with Tracie Audette and received my Acuscope and Myopulse Certification. Since then, I have been able to rehab Paris, starting from the ground up -literally. We changed her shoeing, transitioned to barefoot, continuously treating during these changes, adjusted her diet and her riding program. The only injection I ended up doing was PRP into her navicular bursa as we transitioned her feet. She was able to continue teaching kids and friends of all ages at the lower levels (her favorite) and is now comfortable exploring Western living with us - with a few minor incidents (barbed wire fence). Good thing she has an acuscope & myopulse!
